Swimming PDF Print

In general swimming is good for backs. If you have overmobile sacro-iliac joints, avoid the breast stroke. With breast stroke, swim properly, not with your head out of the water – this can aggravate neck and low back problems.

If you can swim but not well and have never had formal lessons, going to a class at your local pool  will ensure that your swimming technique is efficient.
